GLOSSYBOX November 2015 Review
Hello and thank you for joining me while I review the GLOSSYBOX for November 2015. This is the first subscription box I have received where I loved every single product in the box. This month’s box had the following: Flora•py Floral Therapy Sheet Mask, Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy, Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Creme; MARSK Mineral Eyeshadow in You’re Toast and Beauty For Real D-Fine Perfect Lip Pencil in Nude.
Let’s begin with this Flora•py facial sheet mask. Straight out of the packet I knew this face mask was going to be different . This Flora-py Blackberry Primrose – Deep Hydration Mask has got to be the best facial mask I think I’ve use to date. What makes this mask so unique is that it is made from 100% coconut material so it feels so different from all the other fiber mask’s I’ve used. The coconut material delivery system holds 5x its own weight in water and adheres gently to the surface of the skin to ensure all the benefits infused in the mask can transfer and absorb into the skin. Most users see an 8-10% increase in skin hydration after the first use. Users also claim skin appears more radiant, they feel less stress, mood is elevated and skin appears more youthful, all after one use. It is very easy to unfold and put on. The mask has a sheet protector on each side of the mask so there’s no messy and difficult unfolding or application. My face immediately felt soothed and it has amazing cooling properties. It has just enough product to get the job done without being messy, drippy and slippy. It applies well and it stays put, no slipping and sliding around. It felt so good I didn’t want to take it off, I left it on for 30 minutes and I think I could use one every day. The ingredients in the mask did not irritate my sensitive skin and my face felt soft and perfectly moisturized after removal. Me think’s I shall be clicking over to Flora-py and getting me some more of these amazing masks. I would definitely recommend trying one of these masks out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. This is a full size product and retails for $8.
This Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy is a luxurious feeling hand cream. It left my hands feeling soft and moisturized without feeling greasy and it smells divine, like the ocean. This hand cream is infused with macadamia nut oil, shea butter and seaweed and algae extracts. It contains hydrating ceramides and antioxidant-rich vitamin E, Myrrh extract helps condition nails and cuticles and it is formulated without mineral oil, parabens, propylene glycol or sodium lauryl sulfate. This intensive cream nourishes skin so it’s noticeably smoother after each application. I have put this by my bedside to use a night before I go to sleep, the scent is so relaxing to me, it smells like ocean air in a tube. This was a full size and it retails for $22.
The Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Cream is a best selling, cult favorite daily moisturizer. This is a high performance, multi-action daily moisturizer even thought it does not have an SPF. This is a product I will be reaching for when those cold winter months finally arrive. It is very emollient and it absorbs well without being oily. This product is designed to curb the first signs of aging: fine lines, dullness and dehydration, loss of firmness and tone and is designed for all skin types. It has breakthrough IntuiGen Technology that helps reactivate the skin’s own revitalization. The size I received in my GLOSSYBOX is a sample size with the full size starting at $50 for 1 oz.
MARSK is a mineral eyeshadow that I had not heard of until I received this month’s box and I am all about mineral products. MARSK is a company that sources all of their products from Australia, Europe and the United States. Each product is hand packaged before shipping from Sydney or London. The MARSK cosmetics line consists of all natural and certified organic ingredients and their product are MARSK Quality Assured Cruelty-Free, which means no animal testing, which I like. This month’s box featured the color You’re Toast. This is a warm, golden shade that is highly pigmented, it blends and builds well, and has a very creamy consistency even though it is a powder and if you dip your brush in water before applying it will become a bolder matte shade. MARSK has an entire line of cosmetics ranging from mineral foundation to professional brushes. This item was a full size product which retails for $24 on their website.
This is the Beauty for Real D-Fine Perfect Lip Pencil. This is another company I had not heard of before receiving this month’s box. What is an interesting little tid-bit about this company is that the core products they sell have a mirror and an LED light built in to the product packaging, so how cool is that? This lip liner is the perfect shade of undetectable nude on me. I have medium/olive skin and this color blends perfectly with my natural lip color. Also, as good fortune would have it, it is the perfect shade to compliment a lip crayon I received in my Ipsy bag this month, so yea me! It would be worth the time to go over and read their company’s about page, it is kind of interesting. This product is a full size lip pencil and retails on their website for $14.
Over all the total value of this month’s GLOSSYBOX is $68, and I am loving the entire box. For the subscription cost of $21, I think I had a pretty good experience with this month. 4 out of 5 products were full size, and that is good considering that most months the box contains just deluxe travel sizes. And while the product’s themselves were not large, they are full size for the particular product they happen to be.
I would like to thank you again for taking the time to read my thoughts and opinions on these products. If you, my reader, have any experience with these products I’d love to hear what you think. So please leave a comment if you would like to add to the discussion and if this has informed or helped you in any way please feel free to share me on Facebook or Twitter by clicking one of my links.
Until next time my lovelies…
