I purchased this Cindy Crawford Meaningful Beaty Kit hoping that the antioxidants in it were going to help my rosacea and sensitive reactive skin. After 2-3 days of using it, my face began to turn bright red and sting, and I used very little at a time. I hated that this did not work out for me. They only thing in the order that I could use without any problems was the little container of the anti-again ampoules (these were a free gift with my purchase). After using this for 3 days my skin was bright red and small whelps had begun to come up on my face. After doing some reading about his I found out that is has Vitamin C in it, which seems to really make my skin angry. Buy the 3rd day I had been using it my skin began peeling and leave dry and patchy places and I saw, even more, patches where my skin was flaking off.
The customer service rep I talked to was extremely and extraordinarily polite and helped me. Actually, she gave me my refund right then despite the package just now being on its way back. I was even contacted by their escalation team in order to get more information on their product and my reaction to it.
I have super sensitive skin and I am very limited as to what products work on my skin. I was hoping that it would have worked because I wanted to see exactly what it would do for my aging skin. I am so limited on the products I can use, it’s very frustrating. I cannot use the good stuff like retinol’s, Vitamin C, high levels of niacinamide and especially anything that has any lavender ingredient that is supposed to help with anti-aging. I was a sun worshiper for half my life if not longer and now I am paying the price for not being smart about skincare as part of my routine when I was young. Believe me, it will come back and bite you on the ass many years on down the road.
I hate that I had to send it back. However, keep in mind when purchasing this, this is only one person’s opinion over hundreds more. This was my first experience with this line of cosmeceuticals.
I am saying this from my own personal experience, I do not believe it is a bad product just that it did not work for me and but it might do wonders for another’s skin.
So just be aware of what can occur if you do happen to have super sensitive reactive skin. Also, a sunscreen is imperative if you were to use this line of treatment. It will most assuredly make you sunburn due to the nature of the product.
I ordered it online after I had seen one of their commercials but it can also be purchased at Ulta.
